After breaking a back leg it was discovered that Toby was seriously ill with bone cancer in his spine and therefore we had to have him put to sleep yesterday. He was always a cheerful little dog even at the end with a broken leg! But he was a bit of a rascal in his younger days......  I once had to chase him around the garden to try and retrieve a bobbin of hand spun alpaca from his clenched teeth! We all miss him already.
